Emma

Emma qualified as an instructor with Stott Pilates in 2005 and later spent five years working and training at a classical pilates studio in Reading. Her ongoing training has equipped her to work with people with specific needs (ante- and post-natal, those recovering from injury and people coping with chronic illness).

From 2015 to 2018 Emma taught the First Team and Under 21’s at Reading Football Club. This was a valuable experience where she was able to use Pilates for both injury prevention and rehabilitation.

Emma owns and runs Method Pilates where she teaches both mat and equipment classes. She continues to develop and enhance her knowledge through ongoing training and professional development.

Hannah

Hannah is a qualified Level 3 Pilates instructor, specialising in matwork. She obtained her teaching qualification with the internationally recognised YMCA Awards Scheme.

As a post-graduate, Hannah worked as an editor in medical publishing for Elsevier and Butterworth-Heinemann. A lifelong interest in health, fitness and dance led her to study and to teach traditional Pilates.

She believes that Pilates can offer benefits to clients regardless of age, gender or previous experience and is an excellent tool postnatally, and also for back care, injury prevention and rehabilitation.

Hannah is a member of REPs (Register of Exercise Professionals).

Ruth

Ruth also specialises in mat work and is a qualified Level 3 Pilates instructor. She trained with Harris Mind Body and holds the Active IQ Level 3 Diploma and is a member of REPs.

Ruth currently combines teaching Pilates, with a part-time role working for a Housing Provider managing housing for people with learning disabilities and other groups requiring housing with support.

She has been inspired to train to teach Pilates whilst battling a hip injury. Ruth believes that Pilates has been instrumental in helping her to rehabilitate successfully and can benefit everyone regardless of age, ability or disability.

She is interested in the benefits that Pilates can bring to an ageing population.
